(Also March 24)  Now in its 12th year, the New York Peace Film Festival screens films produced globally to highlight the horrors of war and the root causes of war (poverty, inequality and other ills) and emphasizes peaceful solutions to conflicts.
This year’s theme is “Films are the Storytellers of the Past, Present, and Future,” and it will screen four full length documentaries, four short films and one animated feature film.  Films are shown throughout the day from 12:30 to 9pm; some showings will include Q&A’s with the filmmakers.  Learn more, get the schedule and get tickets here.  Seating is first come, first served – a ticket doesn’t guarantee a seat, so come early!  (Sunday showings are from 9am – 5pm).
