Cartoons: A New Yorkers’ Perspective

March 29, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm UTC+0

(Until May 5) If you’ve read the New Yorker, you’ve seen the work of cartoonist Mort Gerberg. This Brooklyn native’s pen has handled sports, city life, social consciousness and old age for some fifty years with gentle wit, artistry and insight.  More than 120 published cartoons, drawings, and sketch reportage is drawn from his upcoming book Mort Gerberg On the Scene: A 50-Year Cartoon Chronicle, in conjunction with the exhibition.
The New York-Historical Society has a “pay what you will” policy from 6pm-9pm on Fridays.
