Hippety, hoppety, friends: the Alaska Railroad Easter Train tickets went on sale yesterday, so get yourselves over to the Alaska Railroad website or call the reservations line and book your family right now! 

This family-friendly train journey is takes passengers from Anchorage along Turnagain Arm to Indian and back again, with music, crafts, snacks, and tons of prizes along the way. It’s become a staple of springtime fun for a few years now, and the railroad crews enjoy it as much as the kids. 

Set your bunny ears for Saturday, April 20, 2019. Two departures are available: 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. You’ll hop on board from the Anchorage Historic Depot on 1st Avenue and travel south for a fun-filled few hours with the Easter Bunny. 

This is an excellent “first train ride” experience for little ones, by the way. Many parents also take the opportunity to dress up, snap photos, then go out to lunch or dinner downtown

Prices:        $71 for adults

                        $36 for children 2-11 years old

                        $36 for infants in a seat

                        Free for children under two who are considered “infant in lap”
