Buttons. They’re everywhere.
But there is actually a bit more to it than that.
Surprisingly there can be a lot of features and functions associated with social sharing. That might help explain why there are so many different plugins available. Something to keep in mind is that depending on your settings, share buttons can really impact page loading speeds especially if they try to download scripts and things from Facebook or Twitter fore example to show share counts etc.

After a lot of trial and error our preferred social share plugin is …. Add to Any; it handles both Share Buttons (to share a particular page or post) and Social Follow Buttons that take you to your social network account.
WordPress themes often include options for ‘following’ links to social media in the header or footer also.
Having Social Accounts prominently displayed on sites is a mainstay ‘trust factor’ but it is worth thinking about your goals and your sales funnel before you encourage people to leave your site and go off and get lost on a social media site.

Covert Copy Traffic Pro allows you to automatically insert links and text when people copy and paste or scrape your blog content. This is the Pro version with loads of extra features including the ability to use the plugin outside of WordPress. A lot of people copy a section of a website – some pithy description or a good joke or whatever – and paste it into a social post without using share buttons. This tricky little plugin adds a link back to your website to whatever was copied/pasted. nice.
